昔日的R&B大厂Arista已经很久没有作为了，今夏强势推出的Paula DeAnda被抱以很大期望。从成绩上看，应该也算获得初步的成功，《Doing To Much》在点播上先拔头筹，《Walk Away》紧接着也送上电台，如此密集的宣传攻势，成功为Paula DeAnda打开了局面。聆听这张《Paula DeAnda》，可以充分感受到Arista倾注的心血，但是，若要凭此便一扫颓势，还是比较困难。以前说过Joey Moe走着一条众多白人男孩儿的R&B老路，Paula DeAnda又何尝不是呢？白人女孩儿们高唱粉红色系的少女R&B，也早已没有任何新鲜玩意儿，陷入模式化的僵局。充满少女憧憬的歌词，上口好听的旋律，流行的腔调搭配R&B的节奏，如果这种伪R&B前几年还是万金油的话，现在早已失去效力，因为今年流行的是充满摇滚或朋克气息的个性少女，Paula DeAnda这种乖乖牌，想要出头已然不易。而在艺人定位上，Arista也扮演着追随者的角色。从几年前14岁的Mikaila，到去年走红的14岁少女Jojo，再到今天16岁的Paula DeAnda，无论从个人风格亦或演唱技巧都是如此相似，少女R&B这条路几年来已经相当饱和，听过Mikaila的专辑，还会有谁对Paula DeAnda充满渴求呢？何况，为了突出与她们年龄不相称的嗓音条件，这些女孩儿们不约而同的让自己的声音充满力道，Paula DeAnda在专辑中过于卖力的演唱，反而破坏了整体的和谐。毕竟，唱功再优秀，载体也是少女R&B，声音再成熟，年龄也不过16岁。当Jojo凭借首张专辑获得成功之时，Paula DeAnda能从她手中抢走多少听众，只能靠旋律说话。好在《Paula DeAnda》拥有不少好听的歌曲，吸引那些低龄乐迷已经完全足够。专辑制作人有大名鼎鼎的Stargate，还有Frankie J，品质自然不会出错。客串的大牌也不少，从Baby Bash到Lil' Wayne，Arista的众志成城倒也显而易见，不过新晋女Rapper Ak'Sent在《Make A Clap To This》的出现实在让人莫名其妙，倒也凸现Arista商业上的急功近利。客观地说，《Paula DeAnda》是张好听的专辑，但是当视野上升到产业高度之时，却很清晰地看到了这些白人少女们的末路。
